Karen Sheffield is the Founder & Managing Partner of Pachamama Ventures, a San Francisco Bay Area pre-seed fund investing in the "Second Industrialization": the breakthrough materials, energy systems, and industrial platforms decarbonizing industry, energy, and transportation. She runs the fund as a solo GP and closed Fund I in June 2026. Before investing, Karen spent 16 years in Fortune 100 operating roles at Visa, PepsiCo, and American Airlines, and began angel investing in 2020. She holds degrees in Finance and Economics from TCU and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
